Our company

PagingDrCoach (PDC) provides confidential executive coaching for Chief Medical Officers, Heads of Medical Affairs, and senior medical leaders working in high-stakes, cross-functional environments. Founded in 2020 by Mark Monane, MD, MBA, PDC combines clinical credibility with commercial fluency to help leaders bring clarity, decision cadence, and execution to their work.

Meet Mark

PagingDrCoach was built for the leader who has to translate science into decisions, and decisions into execution, inside a complex commercial organization. Mark has done that work from several sides of the table.

  1. 1He has held the Chief Medical Officer seat. At CardioDx (2011 to 2018), Mark led Clinical and Medical Affairs and served as clinical consultant to the company's CLIA laboratory.
  2. 2He knows how business decisions get made. For 11 years he was a Managing Director in equity research at Needham & Company, covering emerging biotechnology in oncology and cardiovascular disease.
  3. 3He speaks payer and policy. As Senior Director of Medical Policy and Practices at Medco Health, he helped shape programs for older adults.
  4. 4He is grounded in outcomes research. Mark trained at Harvard Medical School and the Harvard School of Public Health, with fellowship work in geriatrics, clinical pharmacology, and clinical effectiveness.
  5. 5He is a credentialed executive coach. Certified Executive Coach and Certified Healthcare Leadership Coach (Center for Executive Coaching), and an ICF Associate Certified Coach, coaching medical executives since 2020.

Current work

Mark is Principal and Chief Medical Officer of Monane Group Clinical Consulting LLC (2018 to present) and leads PagingDrCoach (2020 to present), coaching Chief Medical Officers and physician executives in biotech, biopharma, diagnostics, and digital health.
